My Approach

If you’re new to counselling, the huge variety of approaches can seem bewildering. To help understand my particular variety of counselling, here’s a link to a short article which I hope will give a basic explanation: The Person-Centred Approach

I have been a counsellor for over 15 years. I work with people from a large variety of backgrounds. They have come to me for help with many different issues, including:

  • Sexuality
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Low self-esteem
  • LGBT issues
  • Work / study issues
  • Abuse
  • Bereavement
  • Relationships
  • Depression
  • Addiction
  • Self harm
  • Trauma

I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy – www.bacp.co.uk – and I am bound by their Ethical Framework – www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework

I’m also a member of the British Association for the Person-Centred Approach – www.bapca.org.uk
